I AM READY TO SHIP MY PHONES

If you are ready to ship your phones, feel free to visit the donate page to print a pre-paid postage label.

Shipping with your own postage:
When you are ready to ship your phones, you can use any recycled box. Please limit the weight per box to 40 lbs. If you want to use your own postage, you can mail to the address on the PDF linked below. If you have a source code number, please include that on the outside of the box.

Click here to print an addressed label with instructions on how to properly dispose of your batteries.

I am unable to choose my State, City or Organization?
You may bypass these three fields, leaving City and State blank and choosing BERGQUIST for organization.

TROUBLE WITH SHIPPING LABELS

I requested my mailing label, but I haven't yet received an email with the label attached.
Your mailing labels should appear within the same day in which you place your label request. Sometimes your labels will land in a SPAM or junk mail folder. Please check to make sure they have not arrived there. Add cellphonesforsoldiers@recellular.com to your inbox and try entering the FedEx request again. If that doesnʼt work, please use contact information below to let us help with your problem.

CELL PHONE MAILING ENVELOPES

I would like a plastic recycling envelope sent to me
If you have one to four phones that you would like to mail, we would encourage you to utilize our prepaid label. Just print it out and tape it to a box. This is a more environmentally friendly way to send the phones. Get your prepaid label by clicking below:

SETTING UP DROP-OFF LOCATION: PUBLIC

Thank you for your interest in setting up a public drop-off location. This link will enable you to read more about setting up your location. SETTING UP DROP-OFF LOCATION: PRIVATE

Many schools and organizations who don't wish to be a public drop-off site enjoy collecting phones for Cell Phones for Soldiers. If you wish to keep your location private and do not require custom tracking, there is no need to set up a drop-off site. Just decorate a box and use the flyers in the resource center on the website to get the word out! We provide electronic copies of promotional materials that you can print out or take to your local printer.

I NEED FLYERS, POSTERS OR OTHER MATERIALS

We provide electronic resources that you can download from the website. To keep costs down, we do not provide pre-printed materials. Some local printers may donate or discount their services if you explain that you are volunteering. Please visit the resource center to access the materials.

CALLING CARDS

I would like to send a calling card to a soldier overseas
Please use the card request form to send a card to a specific soldier.

I would like some calling cards for care packages being sent out
Use the card request form. All you need to have is the information for one of the ranking officers in the unit you would like to send care packages to. If you do not know please enter:

Enter all of your information and in the comments field, enter a description of your care package program and a contact phone number. MAKE SURE TO ENTER THE NUMBER OF CARDS.

I would like some calling cards for a service member that is deploying
Please use the card request form and enter the name of the ranking officer in the unit you would like to send cards to. We must have a ranking officer to distribute cards in large quantity. Please indicate the NUMBER OF CARDS

WHAT TYPES OF CELL PHONES DO YOU WANT?

We will accept any type of cell phone. Gently-used cellular devices from any carrier are preferred to broken or dated devices. Proceeds are still generated from the recycling of broken and dated devices, however, the charity benefits most from recent, functioning phones.

WHERE DO I SEND OR DROP OFF MY PHONES?

Phones can be sent to the address listed below or can be dropped off at any of the official CPFS drop off sites. We are always looking for more businesses or groups to become drop off sites. You may have a phone drive for a day, a week, or ongoing.

WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE CELL PHONES?

The cell phones are sold to a company that recycles them. The money that we get for the phones is used to purchase calling cards and free phone service for deployed and returning military personnel.

DO YOU SEND ANY CELL PHONES TO THE SOLDIERS?

Most of the cell phones that we receive are not GSM enabled, therefore would not work in the Middle East. Phones which are donated to the program are either recycled or refurbished and sold. New phones provided by corporate donors that are GSM enabled are sent overseas to troops following strict security measures and approval from the donor.

CAN I DONATE A CALLING CARD TO A SPECIFIC SOLDIER OR UNIT?

By providing a valid APO address, Cell Phones for Soldiers can directly mail cards to the soldier.

HOW DO I MAKE A DONATION?

If you want to make a donation by credit card, go to the Join the Fight page and follow the instructions provided. The donation will go to the Cell Phones for Soldiers fund account at the South Shore Savings Bank. You also may send a check or money order directly to:

HOW DO I BECOME A STAR-RATED SPONSOR OF CELL PHONES FOR SOLDIERS?

We are asking for a minimum $1,000.00 donation to the fund to be listed as one of our sponsors. Your company or group may hold a fundraising event, act as a drop off point for used cell phones, or contribute services in lieu of a cash donation. Only active sponsors who continuously support the charity will receive star-rated status.
