ROCK BAND HIP KITTY SPENDS CHRISTMAS CELEBRATING WITH THE TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN

Nov 19, 2012

Hip Kitty Tours Afghanistan for the holidays…

Rock band “HIP KITTY” will be bringing “The gift of music” to US Military stationed in Afghanistan this Christmas.  The Nashville based group will be touring late December into January at US military bases in Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Kyrgyzstan.

While Americans are enjoying the holidays with family and friends, we can’t forget the thousands of troops stationed overseas who are no doubt missing home this time of year.  This will be Hip Kitty’s third “Armed Forces Entertainment Tour” with previous shows in Latin America and again the Middle East.

“Keeping our roots firmly established in supporting military efforts will continue to be a priority of the group no matter where our career takes us.  Showing love for our fellow man is what Christmas is all about; we are honored to perform for the troops.” ~ Jen Halverson - Lead Vocalist~

Hip Kitty released their self-titled EP in 2010 to much acclaim sharing the stage with rock acts Alice Cooper, Bret Michaels and most recently a performance at one of Billboards top rated music festivals “De Luna Fest “ (Pensacola, FL) with Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam.  The band is currently in pre-production for a new album slated for an early 2013 release.  With a sound of vintage rock and alternative attitude, Hip Kitty is quickly gaining recognition within the music industry.

Hip Kitty would like to thank their sponsors Affliction Clothing, Taylor Guitars,SKB Casesand Fishman for their contribution to the Christmas tour.  Hip Kitty works with the military aid organizations “Graffiti of War”, “Cell Phones for Soldiers,” “Vet’s Rock” and “Pinups for Patriots”.  Hip Kitty would also like to send a special thank you to “Cell Phones for Soldiers” for their generosity in providing the band with calling cards that they will be distributing to our troops while overseas!
