Sabres Green Team partners with Cell Phones for Soldiers
Jan 12, 2012
Buffalo —
The Buffalo Sabres Green Team and Cell Phones for Soldiers have teamed up to provide troops stationed overseas with cost-free communication.
Donated cellphones will be sent to Michigan-based ReCellular for recycling. For every donated phone, Cell Phones for Soldiers is able to provide two and a half hours of free talk time to deployed troops.
The collection drive will be accepting donations of gently used mobile phones during all three of the Sabres' January home games at First Niagara Center — Tuesday, Jan. 3, Saturday, Jan. 7, and Friday, Jan. 13.
Additionally, donations can be made at any time throughout the promotion at Account Services at First Niagara Center. Normal hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., Saturdays.
The First Niagara Center is located at 1 Seymour H Knox III Plaza, in Buffalo.
