Meet Friendship Home
With an average distribution rate of 12,000 calling cards each week, many Cell Phones for Soldiers supporters ask ‘how is that possible?’
The residents of Friendship Home help make this possible through their countless hours of volunteerism and commitment. Friendship Home was founded in 1999 by Wilma Goodhue and Joan Mullare, mothers of adult children with developmental disabilities. This facility serves as the only processing center for Cell Phones for Soldiers.
Friendship Home is a support facility proudly serving individuals with developmental disabilities throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. In addition to volunteering for Cell Phones for Soldiers, they provide residents with the skills to develop friendships and become active participants in communities through employment, volunteerism and special events.
