Hello,

My name is Julia and I am 9 years old. You sent me a Certificate of Appreciation about a year ago. Since then I have collected over 500 phones for your organization.

I wanted to let you know that just recently, my mother sent in an entry to the Kohl's Cares Scholarship Program for me being so involved in Cell Phones For Soldiers. I found out that I am a store-level winner along with another person in an older age category. I am being considered for the Regional level as well.

My mother asked me to write you to let you know that your cause is a wonderful thing for me to be involved with. Just this past Christmas, my mom's friend's son was overseas in the Army. He called his mom on a pre-paid card from Cell Phones For Soldiers that he and his whole platoon received. He asked his mom who the little girl was at church collecting for CPFS and she told him it was me. I felt so happy knowing that these people got to call home to their families and it was someone who I know personally.
